The fish are starting to group together and as the water temperature continues to increase over the next few days I expect them to start to spawn.
If this happens at Claydon or Itters, the lake will be closed for 7 calendar days to allow for them to get on with it without any interruption and give them a little recovery time afterwards.
If you are fishing and we come to close the lake, you will be expected to wind in and head home. Likewise if you are at the lake and they start please contact any club representative so a decision can be made.
I appreciate this can be a pain, but fish welfare and protecting the fish we have is paramount.
Cheers
Blacky
